The BB2 Venturi is one of the fastest vehicles in the world. The student run team is based out of the Center for Automotive Research at The Ohio State University. Currently the team is in the process of designing a brand new land speed vehicle. This new vehicle branded the Buckeye Bullet 3 (BB3) is anticipated to be significantly faster than previous cars. In the summer of 2010, the team built a battery powered land speed streamliner (BB2.5), that broke the previous world record held by the Buckeye Bullet 1. Each of the vehicles are run on the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah.

The team's work (Cary's) in aerodynamics will help in not only propelling BB3 to speeds of 400+ MPH but also propelling electric land speed racing into the future.

Recently Cary has shown that the aerodynamic performance increases in moving the driver in front of the front axle are negligible. When weighed against the increased complexity of the steering as well as the increased danger of having the driver out away from the center of gravity the team has shown that a new driver in middle design can result in similar performances as the driver in front, this though was not the conclusion of the designer of the Bluebird Electric 2 (BE2), which despite the slightly increased complexity of steering linkage, managed the revision, but then the design was shelved.

The OSU Buckeye Bullet raised the record for the fastest EV in the US to 257 mph at Bonneville Salt Flats in October 2003, besting the old record of 251 mph held by White Lightning. The 31 feet long streamliner is powered by a 400 - 500 hp electric motor and 12,000 nickel-metal hydride batteries!  The car is the product of a collaboration between students of the Ohio State University's Center for Automotive Research-Intelligent Transportation, its faculty and private industry.

Chiếc Venturi Jamais Contente đời năm 2010 của Venturi còn được gọi là Venturi Buckeye Bullet tại Mỹ. 

Đây là chiếc xe chạy điện có công suất lên tới hơn 800 mã lực và được Venturi trưng bày tại Paris Auto Show năm nay. 

Nhờ có chiếc xe này, nhà sản xuất ôtô Pháp đã trở thành chủ sở hữu của những chiếc xe điện nhanh nhất trên thế giới.

Dự án kéo dài bốn năm (từ 2009 đến 2012) có tên gọi Mission 01 là sự hợp tác giữa Venturi và Đại học bang Ohio (OSU) và nó đã giúp hãng này thách thức những kỷ lục về tốc độ cũng như định ra chuẩn mực mới trong lĩnh vực xe điện tốc độ cao. 

Giai đoạn đầu của dự án diễn ra vào tháng 9/2009 trên đường đua muối Bonneville Salt Flats (bang Utah) và chiếc Jamais Contente sử dụng pin nhiên liệu đã đạt tốc độ kỷ lục thế giới 487km/giờ (được FIA chứng thực).

Tháng 8/2010, Jamais Contente lại được đưa tới Bonneville song lần này xe được lắp ắcquy điện chứ không phải pin nhiên liệu. 

Một lần nữa Venturi lại lập kỷ lục thế giới của xe điện với tốc độ trung bình 495 km/giờ. Tốc độ nhanh nhất chính thức được ghi nhận là 515 km/giờ./.
